Virginia Tech Priority Review Application
Priority Review will again be available to VCCS students wishing to apply for the summer/fall 2013 semesters. Students who plan to take advantage of this early application process should pay close attention to the stated deadlines. Below is the process and schedule:
1. January 4, 2013 – online Transfer Application must be submitted by midnight.
2. January 4, 2013 – transcripts from all colleges/universities attended must either be postmarked or sent via email to transcripts@vt.edu> by midnight. For transcripts sent via email, the subject line must include the Student’s Name and Major. For Priority Review, we can work with unofficial transcripts sent by the student. Fall 2012 grades must be included on the VCCS transcript.
3. First Week of February – decisions will be mailed.
This year, it will not be necessary for students to sign up in their VCCS advising offices. Any application received from a current VCCS student by the January 4, 2013 deadline (including receipt of all transcripts) will be reviewed under this process. All applications/transcripts received after January 4, 2013 will be reviewed under the regular transfer process.

Students who do not attend a minimum of one class meeting (or log into a web-based course) prior to the drop date must be administratively dropped from the course. No refund will be granted for students who enroll but fail to attend.
You would get a refund if you drop yourself from the class before the last day to drop for a refund (before 5pm):
For 1st eight week classes: Monday, August 27
For 16 week classes: Tuesday, Sept. 4
For 2nd eight week classes: Thursday, Oct. 25

Do you have a desire to share your Central Virginia Community College experience with others? Have strong interpersonal, academic and organization skills? Then you want to consider becoming a CVCC Ambassador.
What does it take to become an Ambassador?
At least a 2.5 GPA, with a minimum of 6 credit hours completed at CVCC by the end of Fall 2011.
Availability to serve as an Ambassador during the following semesters: Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Spring 2013.
