you ever thought about becoming a student leader at Central Virginia Community
College? Now is the time!
CVCC is currently
accepting Student Ambassador applications for the 2015-2016 school year. Below
are some requirements to become an ambassador:
· - Strong
academic, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· - Desire
to share their CVCC experience with others
· - Hold
at least a 2.5 GPA, with a minimum of 6 credit hours completed at CVCC by the
end of the fall 2014 semester
· - Be
available for the following semesters: summer 2015, fall 2015, and spring 2016
Our
current student ambassadors have excelled and represented the college well at
various activities on and off campus. Some of the activities they participated
in are open houses, high school visits, providing campus tours, assisted with
directions the first week of class, and various other activities. One of the
major perks of being a student ambassador is that you receive a $500
scholarship for the fall and a $500 scholarship for the spring as part of your commitment
to working 30 hours a semester. You also will attend a Student Leadership
conference, which will enhance your leadership skills as well as look good on
transfer applications and/or job résumés.
