Virginia Placement Test Preparation Class offered through Workforce

Central Virginia Community College's Workforce Solutions and Community Education division is offering a preparation course for the Virginia Placement test in math and English.

If you are interested in taking one of these review courses please register today by calling 832-7622.

VPT Preparation - English course runs from June  9-July 2nd, on Tuesday and Thrusdays from 5:30- 8:00pm on the main Campus. The cost is $75 dollars.

VPT Preparation - Math July  6-Jul 29 Monday and Wednesday 5:30-8:00 pm on the main campus. The cost is $75 dollars.

Exciting Lynchburg College Transfer Scholarship Information

Lynchburg College is offering a new scholarship for community college students. Take a look at the press release below:

Lynchburg College is offering a new scholarship that could bring tuition costs for Virginia community college students to as little as $10,510 per year. LC’s Associate Degree Transfer Scholarship will award $17,500 to students under the age of 25 who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have earned a qualified associate degree from a community college.

The $10,510 tuition estimate is based on LC’s 2015-2016 tuition rate of $34,610 and assumes that students will receive $3,100 from the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG) and another $3,500 from LC’s scholarship competition.

Eligible degrees include associate of arts, associate of science, or associate of arts and science degrees granted by a Virginia Community College or equivalent degrees from out of state schools.

Photography 101 this summer at CVCC

Do you need a humanities elective for your degree? Then check out Photography 101 this summer. This three credit, 10 week class teaches principles of photography and fundamental camera techniques.
